The stars

My four little superstars:

Mr B is 5 1/2 and starts big school this year. Our little king, he rules the roost and he knows it. He is also pretty easy as far as 5 year old boys go. Gentle, sensitive and funny, he'll put on his best behaviour to earn a present and will earnestly let us know if his little sister ever acts out of line. He also knows more Rolling Stones tunes than I do.

Miss P is the opposite to her big brother in so many ways. At 3 years old, she is loud, robust and happy to wind Mr B up for her own entertainment. When I say she's loud, I mean really loud. I think she uses her whinge volume as a weapon. She is also gorgeous, charming and cute as pie. Caramel curls and big brown eyes seal the deal.

Baby A and Baby J are my magic, identical boy twins. I call them magic because for months while in utero they baffled and worried all the medics, and my pregnancy with them was a stress-fest to say the least. But a year on, they are doing brilliantly and I thank my lucky stars everyday for them. They are finally sleeping well and we are all catching up on many hours of lost sleep from that first year. Meanwhile they are quickly learning to get about, so it's just as well that we're sleeping now as we have to be pretty quick to keep up with them.

Our kids light up our every day and fill our hearts with joy. They have changed our lives in so many ways, and while we're pushed to our limits to keep up with them all, we couldn't be more grateful for our bunch. And let's face it, without them, what would I have to blog about?
